| Raggedy Ann As Time Goes By Individual Doll |
 | Limited Edition Raggedy Ann ''As Time Goes By'' dolls are from a very small limited edition of 7500 for each style. Choose one doll from this incredible collection of six different versions of the Raggedy Ann doll copied from her original form in 1918 to the current doll of today. They are approximately 8'' in height. These are the different dolls that are available: A?1918-1934 style - P.F. Volland Co. of Chicago. Cartoonist Johnny Gruelle patented his famous rag doll in 1915, but it was not until three years later that P.F. Volland Company introduced the first commercially produced Raggedy Ann. This charmingly primitive reproduction doll has dark brown hair, shoe button eyes and a ''candy'' heart stuffed inside her soft body, just like the original. (The hearts were really cardboard.) B?1935 style - Exposition Doll and Toy Mfg. Co. Gruelle's next doll licensee was the Exposition Doll and Toy Mfg. Company. This reproduction Raggedy Ann has printed pie-cut eyes with no eyebrows or eyelashes. Her hair has a burgundy tint, and she wears felt shoes. Her dress has a patch that says ''My name is Raggedy Ann™ Permission Gruelle Family,'' just like the original. The Exposition doll was the only commercially made Raggedy Ann without a heart. The original doll was rare, produced for less than one year. C?1934-1937 style - Molly-E's Doll Outfitters. Exposition's short term as a manufacturer of Raggedy Ann was due to unfair competition from unauthorized dolls by Molly-E's Doll Outfitters. This attractive reproduction Molly-E's Raggedy Ann has brown hair, printed eyes that glance to one side, multicolored stripes on her legs, and distinctive blue shoes. She was the very first to have a heart, solid red, printed on her chest. D?1938-1962 style - Georgene Novelties, Inc. This orange haired reproduction is faithful to the original. Georgene Novelties restored button eyes to the doll. This was the first company to add the words ''I Love You'' to Raggedy Ann's printed heart. E?1963-1982 style - Knickerbocker Toy Company. Perhaps the best known manufacturer of Raggedy Ann was Knickerbocker. This reproduction doll has a simple geometric face and large button eyes, with an appealingly direct smile. The pocket that is found on every Knickerbocker doll's apron shows the company's attention to detail. A printed fabric flower is found in each pocket, just like the original. F?1980-present style - Applause, current maker of Raggedy Ann dolls. Applause began making Raggedy Ann dolls in 1980, and continues this tradition today. Many handcrafted Raggedy Anns have embroidered faces, but Applause was the first commercial maker to add this quality feature. This doll has an embroidered face with button eyes. Sorry but the Knickerbocker and Applause styles are sold out. Choose a style from the drop-down menu below. Each individual doll is $11.99.
